Since last we met . . .

So it's been a while, and the Team has had a few adventures since the last time I posted.
* We took a trip to Provo to celebrate Matt's sister's graduation and meet our new cousin Seth.
* We made a table cloth. (Jill and I. And Matt admired our fine work.)
* We started reading Middlemarch by George Elliot. Really I started reading Middlemarch, but because I'm listening to the audio book, everyone gets a chance to hear it from time to time.
* Jill learned to sit up on her own, how to fold her arms, and how to "sing" during the quiet moments in church.
* We took a trip to Texas to visit family and celebrate my brother's graduation.
* We went to some parties.
* We celebrated mother's day.
* We tried making new foods.
* I knitted a few things.
* We planted our garden.
* Matt started playing league soccer. Just a little warm up for the FIFA World cup this summer.

Just a few things. Hopefully I'll get some pictures up before too long.

xoxoxo

Thanks for letting us visit everyone. We love seeing you!

Great!!!

Today is my Grandma Jackson's Birthday. We love our grandparents so much, and Matt and I both feel very lucky to live so close that we can visit our grandparents. Although she won't remember, Jill has now met ALL of her Greatgrandparents.
Happy Birthday Great Grandma Jackson.

We love you Great Grandpa Svedin.

See you soon Great Grandma and Grandpa Pack.

KATE!

Does any one else hear that name and immediately hear Ben-Folds 5 in your head as well?

Last year Kate was 8.

That means this year Kate is 9.

That doesn't rhyme quite as well as last year's story, but I'm sure it will be a fabulous year just the same. How can it not be for a girl like KATE!

Oh Kate. Have you read this one yet?

The Fairy Rebel by Lynne Reid Banks. I loved this book when I was 9. In fact, it was the only book I wanted to read.

Happy Birthday KATE! ( in a few days, that is)

Shout Out

I'm not a cook. I've learned a lot about cooking in the last couple of years from my awesome cosin at Perry's Plate, like 1. don't be afraid to try something new, 2. look up the ingredent names when your'e not sure what they are, and 3. you can always change it up and make it different if you don't like the results. Oh, and I learned to roll out dough with oily hands instead of floury ones. 9 times out of 10 it makes my bread more fabulous.

So, last night when I made a wonderful Lemon Chicken recipe that turned out to be more than I expected, I thought for sure I had printed it off from Ms. Perry's Blog. But alas, I can't find the recipe now. It was lovely though, and although I don't think it's hers, I'm giving her credit for inspiring me to make it.

When I figure out where I got it from, I'll share it will all of you.

Adding to the Team

Matt and I have been waiting for the a good time to let everyone know about our future plans. Now seems like as good a time as any. Last weekend we came home with very exciting news.
Our doubles team will become a three-some in November. We're very excited to announce the quick approach of our little girl. (90% sure we're not announcing a boy, but if things change, we'll be just as excited, and of course let you know.)

Here are some odds and ends for everyone:

I'm 22 weeks along. (That about 41/2 months.)
I feel great (most of the time).
We're about 90% sure we're having a girl.
We have a list of names about a mile long.
My doctor says November 17th is the red letter day to look forward to.
