This time last year

My little sis is getting married in a week or so. Seeing her picture on my fridge reminds me that this time last year Matt and I were announcing the beginning of our own big adventure.

Thank you for giving me so many reasons to keep falling in love with you, then and now.

Dear Cougar Defense

Dear Cougar Defense,
After the BYU/OU game we had high hopes. Through out the season we have faithfully watched and cheered. But now, we have to admit, we're not impressed. Dear Defense, we will keep showing up weekly to watch you play. Please, next week, will you show up too?

LOST

LOST
One Black Cannon Digital Camera
in a black camera case
2 spare cannon camera batteries
One black flash drive
If found please notify the owners of this blog.
Did I happen to show you pictures of my trip to Texas at the end of September? If I did, please remind me. I can't seem to remember where I last had my camera. Please help!

Saving Grace

Hanging out in the middle of the night with Jill has been a huge adjustment for me. After an especially hard night 5, I started wondering, like most new mom's i'm sure, how I would be able to keep up this strange new schedule. Besides being tired, the night time hours are some of the longest and lonliest for me. It's not like I can wake Matt, or call someone to chat.

I'd love to say that I'm one of those moms who can sqeeze joy and energy from the opportinity to cuddle and get to know my baby. Maybe next week . . . uh, month . . .uh

In the mean time, I'm greatful to have had this tender mercy come to mind at the beginning of night 6.

Other (hidden) tender mercies:

Our computer room/nursery/spear room set up.

My husband watching sports online.

My desires to not wake my husband and to read the new conference Ensign at the same time, one handed.

The lovely array of midnight snacks bought by my husband for me.

Again, being one handed, making all of my two-handy craft hobbies impossible.

Game Day(s)

I thought I'd put up the highlights of Jill's arrival. This will not be a play by play of the birth. or a commentary of how I feel about any birthing practices. If you are interested in that sort of thing, you'll have to give me a personal call or visit, and maybe even offer some sort of baked goods.

After a long day of church and fun with family and friends, Matt and I took an unexpected trip to the hospital around 11:00pm. We waited the night out there, and then I was induced Monday morning at 8:30. Jill made her star appearance at 5:24 pm Monday evening, and we hung out to recover until Wednesday.

Matt, Jill, and I got home Wednesday afternoon around 1:30, just in time for lunch and naps.
